Let’s make some more history!
In LD20, I am happy to say we had 46.55% of our Dems (18,786 of our 40,358) cast their votes in the Primary. We were very close to the countywide turnout of 47.91% (366,376 out of 764,774). If you compare these numbers to 2018 and 2016, we have been breaking lots of records. However, there is still more work which needs to be done. To that end, I’m happy to say that we have eight PCs who have assumed the role of LD20 Regional Team Leads to help drive more of our D’s to come out to vote. Please give congratulations to: Scott Sawottke, Chris Gehlker, Evan Short, LeeAnn Medlock Short, Linda Dooling, Rivko Knox, Cindy Malicki, and Sharon Haynes. If you’re a PC, you will likely receive a call from one of them to find out what you can do to help drive up our percentages. We’ll be sharing more about this in upcoming newsletters and LD meetings.
Let’s continue to make history in LD20 for the General Election!

Be a poll worker – help preserve Democracy!
Maricopa County Democratic Party (MCDP) is looking for volunteers who can help out at the polls by being a poll watcher. Your role would be to observe the activities at the polls and report back any incidents of voter intimidation. It’s imperative that everyone who wants to vote, be able to vote and not feel threatened by anyone. MCDP will provide training. This year, more than ever, this activity will be critical to preserve our democracy. If you can help out, please contact: Janet Wilson at [email protected] and provide your name, address, & phone #. Thank you.
